KIDS
The 90’s were a decade of great turbulence. Ideologies and empires, full of promises for eternity, fell apart. People lost homes and reference systems. In the midst of a chaotic world, young people created their own living environments. All of this left its mark. There are traces in magazines and films, in music lyrics and photos and of course, first and foremost in the bodies. But what about all that left no trace? Or at least no visible ones? Or ones that have been overlooked? Any why is this the case? What are the reasons why some traces survive in the consciousness of the future world and some gradually disappear? KIDS animates lost traces with the means of drama and video art. Katharina Jabs and Pedro Martins Beja develop a space of DRAMATIC ANIMATION. The dialogue between drama and video art ignites a force and friction for a contemporary and poetic negotiation of the traces of KIDS.
